The Curt Doctrine -archive from 9/16/08

Dear Curt,

Did you see Charlie Gibson's interview with Vice President Palin last week? What the hell is his problem? Who cares if she doesn't know what the Bush Doctrine is? No one. Russia? I heard she once punched Putin the face. Georgia isn't in NATO? Curt, isn't Georgia in America? Gibson has no right to ask her such tough questions. Was he trying to make her cry?
Also Curt, what's the deal with all these hurricanes? Are Saddam Hussein and the rest of the 9/11 terrorists behind them? Can we bomb the Atlantic Ocean? -Walker in TX

Dear Walker,

First off, thank you. Thank you for getting it. Gibson is yet another liberal media member taking cheap shots at Vice President Palin. I'm a huge supporter of President Bush, but I'm not sure what the heck the "Bush Doctrine" is. I think it has something to do with fixing what's wrong with the world so America has a better foothold on the planet. Governor Palin lives close enough to Russia to throw snowballs at Putin, as I'm sure he vacations in eastern Siberia (who wouldn't?), and that's the whole point. She's an expert on foreign affairs, she's been defeating the Soviet Union for years now, so much so that countries have broken apart from them in recent years. Yes, Georgia is a state in the US (You'd hardly know it if you heard JD Drew try and put together a sentence in English), but there's another one that's near Russia. They named themselves after the state here, showing their allegiance to Freedom and Democracy. A pretty neat little homage.

As for the hurricanes, I'm sure someone at the DOD is looking into destroying weather. There's got to be a way. If the Chinese could get it to rain in Beijing, surely the USA can stop and start weather as we please. My short answer: It's right around the corner. Oh, and Walker, when someone ruins the environment we call them Eco-Terrorists. -Yours, Curt
